Art is elusive Perfection
An almost Perfect Shot
Eve was born of Adam, so says the Bible, and together they laid the foundation of mankind. We all know how the apple brought Adam and Eve out of Eden. Yet an apple a day keeps the doctor away. What is the paradox?
Contemplate and you will find the apple is the initiator of the craving for perfection. Eve wished to make her world perfect and thus offered a bite to Adam. This brought them out of a garden they did not own and together they started out to create a perfect world.
So if creation was the plan of nature hidden in the apple of perfection, Eve who had the most took to physically create mankind. How could nature deny some creativity right to Adam who had a bite? Impartial mother Nature entrusted Man with creative imagination instead, since biological creativity fell on Eve's part. In fact both man and woman share some common qualities, well that's natural, after all Eve came of Adam!
In short, man and woman both had the apple, and definitely it is healthy for them still, but from then on perfection in art remained elusive. None had the full apple, so none had the perfection. From then on human creation cannot be completed without partnership between man and woman, because their union signifies the reconstruction of the whole apple. Same applies to Art, it remain imperfect as no artist can be both man and woman at once. Perfection in Art remains elusive forever... at least to the artist!
One last thing I need to mention, about the color Red. We still find expressions of our long lost memory in 'love is red', important people are given 'red carpet welcome', you are even 'red with rage' especially when you don't see perfection. Where did this red originate? Yes, Apple is Red! Convinced now why perfection is always elusive, and God is always perfect. Someone quipped God has many apple orchards in heaven, guess what he has for breakfast.
I love art but cannot devote myself to it alone. See how artists die, no money for breakfast, how do they buy an apple? So, no perfection at least in the eyes of the artist... 'it could have been better' remains their swan song! Want to die unsatisfied, be an artist.
